Experience covers new construction and renovation/modification of existing construction for commercial, municipal, institutional and industrial uses. Design considerations have included long span structures, architecturally exposed structures, parking decks, pedestrian and vehicle bridges, excavation bracing, analysis for elimination of building expansion joints, analysis for differential foundation settlement over deep fills and metric design.

 

Experience with structural steel framing systems includes rigid and braced frames with composite and nonco posite beams, steel joist and joist girders, trusses, plate girders, and built-up sections. Experience with concrete framing systems includes conventionally reinforced and post-tensioned cast-in-place beam and slab, skip joist, flat plate and precast. Other experience has included load bearing masonry, wood construction, lightgage metal framing, stainless steel, aluminum and fiberglass. Foundation experience includes drilled piers, belled piers, auger-cast piles, mat footings, and retaining walls supported on deep foundations.

 

Special experience includes investigation and preparation of contract documents for repair of a fire damaged post-tensioned concrete structure, repair of a fire damaged structural steel frame, investigation of roof collapse and preparation of project manuals for bid projects as well as the administration of the associated bidding, contracting and construction.
