- This eight-story facility was designed to capture views of the Mobile Bay and represents the style of architecture found at the Grand Hotel and similar bay architecture.
- This building will serve as a prototype for four additional phases. The construction consists of post-tensioned two-way concrete slabs supported by concrete columns and shear walls designed to meet the code required 140 miles per hour wind loads.
- Light gauge steel mansard roof trusses are supported by the roof slab, which also includes a rooftop “plaza”.
- The foundations are pile caps on auger cast piles.
